Founded Tactile Communications, LLC in 2014. Tactile Communications is committed to maximizing the autonomy of DeafBlind people by providing necessary training in a linguistically and culturally appropriate setting. Our aim is to give DeafBlind people the tools they need to become active, productive members of society and in doing so, to improve the quality of their lives. As of October, 2020, Tactile Communications provided training to more than 40 DeafBlind students with seven coming from outside of US.

- Curriculum Co-author with Dr. Theresa Smith. DeafBind Service Center, Seattle WA. 2008-2010. Co-developed a curriculum Providing and Receiving Support Services: Comprehensive Training for Deaf-Blind Persons and Their Support Service Providers. Sponsored by U.S. Department of Education. Grant No. H235K0800014.
- Curriculum Co-author with John Lee Clark. DeafBlind Interpreting National Training and Resource Center, Western Oregon University. 2019-2021. Developed structure and content for a curriculum in Protactile interpreting. Created filmed content in ProTactile. Sponsored by U.S. Department of Education. CFDA Number: 84.160C and 84.160D.

Presentations, Workshops, and Trainings
- State vendors to provide services for the DeafBlind. 2014-2020. Offer training in 5 main areas, which can be applied at home, in the work place, and elsewhere: 1) Braille proficiency; 2) Language and communication skills; 3) Proficiency in a range of adaptive strategies; 4) Orientation and Mobility Training; and 5) Consulting with co-workers, educators, employers, family members, friends, agencies, and organizations that seek to include DeafBlind people in ways that preserve autonomy.
- Mentor Trainer at DeafBlind Interpreting National Training and Resource Center, Western Oregon University. Springs 2018-2021. Trained three cohorts of prospective DeafBlind Mentors in preparation for their work during DeafBlind Interpreting Institutes.
- Educator at DeafBlind Interpreting National Training and Resource Center, Western Oregon University.
- Summers 2018-2021. Taught six cohorts of interpreters during their respective weeklong immersive DeafBlind Interpreting Institutes.
- Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf National Conference. June 2019. Led, with John Lee Clark and Jason Herbers, a two-day training for 25 interpreters.
- Communication by Hand, Austin TX. May 2019. Led, with Hayley Broadway, one full day Protactile training for interpreters.
- Affiliated Blind of Louisiana. April 2019. Led, with John Lee Clark, multi-day Protactile trainings for four DeafBlind prospective trainers, 12 interpreters, and 12 Support Service Providers.
- Southern California Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf and Southern California Association of DeafBlind Conference. January 2018. Led, with Hayley Broadway, a two-day training for DeafBlind individuals, interpreters, and Support Service Providers.
- Sanderson Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind. October 2018. Led, with John Lee Clark, multi-day trainings for four DeafBlind prospective trainers and 20 teachers and interpreters.
- Second International DeafBlind Expo. August 2016. Led with 4 DeafBlind Protactile trainers to provide onsite protactile training to more than 600 participants.
- White House. July 5, 2016. Led, with Dr. Clifton Langdon, discuss the implications of participants and researchers co-creating research with others in attendance.
- Southern California Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf. June 2016. Led, with aj granda, full day training on Protactile.
